The Folklore Company of Varnavas of the municipality of Marathon continues with great success the action “Little Fashion Designers” in and outside Attica, an action free of charge for the participants.
Last week, executives of the Folklore Society visited the Arsakeio-Tositsio in Psychiko and the social non-governmental organization ARSIS in Thessaloniki, which hosts unaccompanied children from Palestine, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Ethiopia. The participants of the action created clothing and accessories from recycled materials with the contribution of experienced professionals and artists.
The programme aims to introduce children and teenagers to the world of global contemporary fashion through activities, hands-on activities and workshops linked to recycling. An important part of the programme is the creation by children and teenagers of clothing and accessories inspired by different countries, whether they are their countries of origin or not.
